| I am assuming this is a DST issue. However, if I select sysdate from dual: ten times, I will get 2pm and 3pm interspersed, and it appears that data rows are being timestamped with either the right time or the right time + 1 hour (2pm vs 3pm) depending upon their node. Why doesn't RAC evict the server with the bad time? Is it because it is the "right" time but with DST turned off while the other also has the right time with DST turned on? If we correct the wrong server's DST setting, will the dates that are stored as timestamps on the data rows still be wrong or will they recognize the change in DST? We are using Sun Solaris. |
