Default Conceal password entry

FMP9 Advanced, Mac, PC

I think I saw this somewhere, can't find it though. When user types
password characters into password field I need them to be replaced by
asterisks (or other) to conceal them from onlookers. Solutions?
Thanks.

Unfortunately, this only works in Custom Dialog boxes. It's a checkbox
when specifying input fields.

Seems an oversight not to put it on other fields too.

However, workarounds include specifying a font that is all symbols, or
making the text the same color as the field background. The second
choice is more confusing for the users in that they can't see how many
characters they've entered. but it works on ALL systems, whereas the
symbol font thing can fail if another computer doesn't have it
installed.

Thanks Lynn

I thought of both and rejected them for exactly the reasons you state.

May the Powers That Be hear a request for a needed feature.
