| agent? The reason I ask is that many of our users have expressed concern with not being notified fast enough. We currently use the default (every 6 hours). I’m looking at increasing this as much as I can. The problem is I find conflicting information on the IBM site regarding the subject. One place reads that the agent should be set no more frequent then every 4 hours. Another talks about setting to “When Mail Arrives” but warns of “possible” higher loads. We’veonly got ~ 250 accounts on the server. Is anyone using custom scheduling for the agent and are there problems with it? Thanks in Advance Dave B. |

We have 1500 users on our mail servers and have it set to 2 hours. I don't recall the exact problem, but there were some strange results when it was set to "new mail". When we tested that, we were on 6.5 servers. It may be different with 7.x servers. Domino 8 provides for instant responses because it is handled by the Router instead of Agent Manager - but you have to have the Notes 8 mail template, and it has to be enabled at the server.
