I never seam to get the results I want > or expect in lotus notes. thanks Yes. It is documented in the online help. It also depends a little on what version of Lotus Notes you are using. Here is one link with some info: http://www.alanlepofsky.net/alepofsk...ll-text-search I think that it was in Notes 8 you get "google style" search, so that you don't need to use boolean searches. But in earlier versions you use the method documented in the online help: election AND France election AND Not "United Kingdom" [SentDate]<03/03/2008 AND [Author]="John Doe" -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing in e-mail? ============= Visit my blog at http://www.bleedyellow.com/blogs/texasswede/ |
