Hi Jimbo, what do think has been main intention when developing lotus notes? Right: working together as a team! What do you think is the intention of Microsoft to bring in competition? Right: Lotus Notes is just an e-mail system! What do you think why is this related to your question? Think about your spreadsheet: There are named columns or rows, containing similar content. What about creating a Notes Database with a Form, containing all these Fields. Then create a View to organize Your Forms. Result: you have a table containing all the information you have in your spreadsheet Advantage: You can see any changes in content looking at the unread marks. You can use richtext content, even with pictures and tables etc inside You can use full text indices for research You can build different views for different intentions You can decide who is allowed to use this content with dedicated rights .... You can keep your mail-database small, because the content in the database is shared across your team. Considering some limitations (see Lotus Notes Help) it even might be able to import your spreadsheed in separate Documents, so You mustn't write all the stuff again. Of course you even can create mails if there is any change in any docment, but where is the benefit for that? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD4DBQFI4MQxgCugu5GMTOkRAortAJds8PCJ6wT1y5ondH5M7j 0TkbamAJ0fBwLQ TPn6nWEnrHAnJBedwsh0qA== =9Npq -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
