mysql Dreamweaver help Newbie

Hi first of all I hope this is in the right forum. I have recently started a new project I have built my database and so far all is going well. Now for the problem Im sure this is an easy fix but because I know next to nothing about PHP. Everything is connected and working fine. I am able to retrieve the data I want It is a list of football games and scores from that information I want to be able to just click on the game I want to see. And that will then retrieve the data i want. That is really all I need my database to do. I have had a look at PHP but I get the impression that Dreamweaver seems to add its own code and for a newbie that makes things a bit complicated.
