OLAP Solutions Engineer JOB OPENING - Austin, TX/San Mateo, CA

[Database Administrator]

A terrific opportunity exists at Zilliant for an experienced and
talented individual with advanced skills and demonstrated success in
the development of large-scale mission critical OLAP-centric
applications.

This person is a key contributor in the design, implementation,
productization and deployment of OLAP-based analytics that are a key
element of the Zilliant Price Manager product.

Requirements
* Strong database, data warehouse and OLAP processing background
* 5+ years of experience in developing and delivering business
applications that employ OLAP and advanced analytics
* Microsoft Analysis Services experience in architecting and building
cubes, dimensions, measures, and calculated members
* Thorough understanding and ability to architect data warehouse fact
tables for OLAP requirements and proficiency with data transformation
* Experience should include system-level design, implementation, data
transformation, visualization, performance optimization, and
experience in real-world applications of this technology
* Experience with DTS program scripting, DSO objects, and MDX queries
is a plus
* Experience with statistical models and optimization is also a plus

* Travel Requirement is 50%

This position shares responsibility in the design of the OLAP
components of the product, built on top of an existing embedded OLAP
processing and visualization engine. Some interaction with key
customers is also required. Zilliant's solution is a packaged software
application, so experience in productizing OLAP for general
applicability to a wide range of customers is also an important
advantage.
