Default Count Function in MDX

Hello Everyone,
I am a newbie to OLAP and have a simple question. I have a column in the dimension table which can take one of three unique values (x,y,z). Can I write a calculated member which can count number of x's in the column ( like count(*) of SQL) ? If yes what is the appropriate MDX function for the calculated member?
Thanks in Advance
