Thumbs up network configuration pbm and not able to login in isqlplus tool

I installed oracle 10g R2 10.2.0 standard edition for learning( DBA concepts) purpose in my laptop.

i am not connecting to any server machine.

I am using XP os.

When i am installing, the network configuration test is failed. Do i need to install Microsoft

Loopback adapter to resolve this problem.

When i continue installing ,with network config warning, i am not able to use the

isqlplus tool as well as not able to login sql prompt,to run the sql query.

It give error message as TNSnames could not identify connect identifier.

Is it sufficient to login with username/password? eg sys/passwd , scott/tiger

Please tell the steps to login in isqlplus tool.

What you need to do is...

First move the Wireless router and attach it to the 3Com switch. The "Internet Port" on the wireless router is the port that needs to be connected to the 3Com switch.

The sonic wall needs to have a static address allocated for the new router.

On the wireless router configure the wired port with the static address you allocated. Create a default route and point it to the sonic wall. You will also have to configure DNS based on you current settings.
