| we get the error message: "Abort reason is "AIJ unknown sequence"" On the master node the accompanying error message is: Master database replication restarts at 3915:2 Setting LCS checkpoint to 3915:2 AIJSERVER PID is 20E07987 Cannot find AIJ sequence number 3915 - must have been backed up -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***** AIJ Log Catch-Up Server failed ***** Status is (00DDF364): %RDMS-F-HOTSEQBCK, cannot find AIJ journal required to start replication We have the idea that our database backup has not had a quiet point. Any other solution than rmu /close /cluster /abort=delprc. With kind regards, Leo de Lange |

you'll probably want to get in touch with Oracle Rdb support directly. But I think that if you do a quiet point database backup and then restore to the standby system you'll be able to get past this. I don't see any need to shutdown the master.
