Default SQL Analysis Services

I am looking at using the Analysis services component of SQL 2005 or 2008
enterprise edition and need to know how it works relating to licensing.

Can the analysis service component be installed with out installing the SQL
database component or are they integrated? If it can be installed
seperately, does that require a seperate license?

Can this component be setup in a cluster to support higher load and
redundancy?

I know very little about SQL and this service, so any feedback on it would
be greatly appreciated. thanks.
