BOF/EOF Error - sqlserver-odbc
This is a discussion on BOF/EOF Error - sqlserver-odbc ; I have a client software connecting to my SQL 2000 DB (running on SQL Server 9.0.3054). When they perform some operations on the client (which results in adding records to various db tables), it returns the error: "Either BOF or ...

| 9.0.3054). When they perform some operations on the client (which results in adding records to various db tables), it returns the error: "Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted; the operation requested by the application requires a current record." This occurs everytime the user performs this type of operation, except for Thursdays! I talked to my network ppl and nothing of note occurrs on wednesday night. I perform a reBuild Index, check DB Integrity and, full backup every night. What could be going on? TCorp. |

These sound like errors from a FoxPro client. But you have to give much more details on what exactly it is you are doing and how. What is the client and what are the commands they are attempting? What is the SQL Error you get. -- Andrew J. I agree with Andrew in that more information is required regarding what the client is using for a DB access layer. I have seen this error when using Borland C++ Builder V 5 and the TADO* DB components. A patch was issued that fixed the problem. Again, more info please. - Arnie "Andrew J. Interestingly, this issue has stopped appearring and not due to anything that I recall doing. This is frustrating because there is nothiong wrong to catch. But it is working for now. Thanks!
