  1. Question Error during informix installation on solaris using a VM

    Hi, I'm new using Informix and I'm trying to install informix 11.5 on solaris 10 and I get the following error:

    Branding Installed Files...
    Installation of IBM Informix Internet Foundation failed.
    Installation of IBM Informix Internet Foundation failed.

    Creating demonstration database server instance...

    Creating demonstration database server instance... - Error found while getting unique server number.
    Error = /usr/informix/bin/onstat: syntax error at line 19: `(' unexpected

    The installation that I'm doing is using a virtual machine that was created using VMWare. The same installation was made successfully using a PC even a VM, but I need the installation over a VM.

    Can anyone help me?

    During the CD burning process, the computer prompted for an error and informed that the disk may not be usable. Is ther any way I can retrieve the files that were initially copied to the CD. (a recordable CD).

    Please help. I lost 3 months of valuable pictures.
