As a matter of fact, there is a web browser available for the C64. You can
    download it here. :-)

Don't you have to be root for that? Unless you are talking about hardware
sabotage by someone in the same physical space as the system.

I think poster Unruh's point was that GNU/Linux virus only exist as proof
of concept items, not running around in the wild infecting systems.

Possbly, but GEOS was a total dog. Slowest thing in creation. I was much
happier with the COMAL environment, and CP/M on the 128.

Never used GEOS personally, But there were enough people who did use it and
liked it that it must have been good for something. I would imagine that
like other OS replacements or add-ons it would have both it's strengths and
it's weaknesses. I played with CP/M a little on my C128. However, most of
the time my 128 was in native C128 mode.

I ran a BBS back in "the day" and occasionally had requests for GEOS printer
drivers. Seems that some college students were using a GEOS word processor
to do their term papers and needed to get a driver that would work with the
printer that they had in order to print it out.

I think GEOS did have its good points, but would not go so far as agreeing
with the troll that started this thread. :-)
