How to clear or flush apache cache

  1. How to clear or flush apache cache

How do I clear or flush apache cache ?.

I am in Oracle 11.5.10.2.0 and need to flush the cache. I am hoping that it will create all the directories after I remove the files. Please let me know before I attempt this flush or clear apache cache procedure thats listed on various web sites.

Clearing or flushing apache cache on Oracle ebusiness suite 11.5.10 is pretty straightforward.

    1. Stop your apache processes using OPMN or by simply issuing a killall command.

    2. Now to flush or clear the apache cache, you just need to remove the files under OA_HTML

For 11.5.10 and above to flush the apache cache, cd $COMMON_TOP/_pages and remove the files there

Upto 11.5.9 to clear the apache cache, you should go to OA_HTML/_pages/_oa_html and remove the files there.

    3. Start Apache processes.

If directories like _pages are missing, Apache will recreate them when restarted.
