remote query timeout = 600

  1. remote query timeout = 600

There is a configuration setting for remote query timeout thats set at 600
    seconds in SQL Server.

My question is as a result of this setting, every query will abort if
running for more than 600 seconds. I want to say that it is not the case and
if so, what specific types of queries will hit this 600 sec timeout

    Thanks

For instance, when you make the following remote stored procedure call:
EXEC NYSQLD02.pubs.spJunk -- where NYSQLD02 is a remote SQL instance
